Hopefully you had a wonderful time with your families and a fabulous Christmas!
I know many of you are already looking forward to 2017 and even if you’re not planning on any “resolutions” so to speak, you’re thinking of how to make this year awesome, how to do better, how to actually reach goals you weren’t able to reach in 2016. Well, that’s where I’m here to help.
This year, I want you to focus on that inner BADASS. Oh yes. I know you’ve got it in there! I’m not talking being mean or rude, no…I’m talking about living a life you can look back and feel CONFIDENT in. One where you feel strong and empowered. Where you feel like a complete and total bad ass. 🙂
There’s really 5 key habits, all simple changes, but they result in HUGE goals reached! Each week for the next 5 weeks we’ll be going over these keys…so that you can start 2017 with a BANG. 💥
1. SET BIG GOALS, THEN BREAK THEM DOWN:
This year I want you to promise to never, ever aim low. If you want to achieve big things in this life, I believe you have to set major long-term goals that really stretch your limits, that really push your abilities and help you grow!
What’s your big goal right now? Is it running a 5k? Losing 20 lbs? Adding 50 lbs to your squat?
Whatever it is, set the bar HIGH, then break it down into small, bite sized, attainable goals you can work on daily. Don’t focus on the end result! Great long runs begin with the mastery of single foot strikes.
If you want to squat big, focus on adding a few pounds each week on leg day. If you want to lose 20 lbs, give yourself a goal this week of losing a few and eating healthy one day at a time.
The key is taking these small steps, relentlessly, one foot in front of the other, one day at a time, and your goal will be within your reach before you even realize it!
So your homework?
Write down at least one BIG GOAL. Then determine what you can do each month, week, or day to take baby steps toward that goal.
