Today I decided to walk on the Greenbelt trail around the neighborhood instead of doing my fasted cardio in the gym. I had totally forgotten how much I feel so refreshed and renewed being out in nature! It completely changed my outlook for the day!
I walked past some jasmine, which smelled like heaven. The trees are green as can be since it’s that time of year where the weather is on a delicate balance between Spring and Summer. Being outside, being in nature can bring us so much peace. No wonder we always heard the saying to “stop and smell the flowers”.
It really does work wonders on a stressed or anxious mind!
Typically when I go outside, I bring my camera. Which I haven’t been doing lately!!
Why?? I know I need to. I need to get back to the artsy side of me!
So to motivate me to take more photos, I’m going to reminisce on some nature photos that I snapped before. I mean why not?? This blog isn’t just about fitness. I’M not just about fitness. And I figure, why not share ALL of me, the REAL me.
I’ve been through a ton of crap. I’ve seen even more crap! Sometimes I FEEL like crap. haha. And sometimes I like to create crap. Soooo…there you go.
You’ll get it all from me, what you see is what you get. That was my vow for the New Year, and I’m not changing my mind on that one yet! It really is freeing to just be me.
To be the creative hippie, workout fanatic that I am. The foodie, the mom, the wife to an amazing man. It’s been a heck of a year and through all the damage, the struggles and the tears….I have come out of the cocoon, spread my wings, and I am flying. Maybe I’ll go grab my camera and take a few more shots like this today. 🙂
